Favourite Fall Lip Colours

Hello Everyone!
So I know it has already been autumn for a while now but here in the UK the weather has only just started to get chilly which is good news becuase fall is my favourite time of the year. I know its really cliché but my favourite thing about autumn is that when the leaves start changing colour and the oversized woolly cardigans and jumpers are out and most of all I get to wear my onsie!

Another thing I love about the autumn is that I can wear my darker berry shaded lipsticks and lip glosses. So today I thought I would share with you some of my favourite fall lip shades. I will also be doing a post on my favourite fall nail varnishes so check back for that.

L'Oreal Paris Glam Shine Balmy Gloss ~
So first off is the L'Oreal Paris Glam Shine in the shade  'Dare The Dragon Fruit'  (which I must say is an amazing name for a lip colour). I absolutely love this shade becuase it is very subtle and elegant but is still a really nice dark berry colour. I also really like the slight shimmer in this shade as it just gives it that extra bit of glam.

MUA Power Pout Colour Intense Tint & Balm ~
Next is 'Crazy In Love' from MUA's Power Pout collection. This is pretty similar in the last one regarding application and texture, however it is a very different shade as it is a much deeper red/pink tone and isn't shimmery. I like this one for an everyday lip colour in the autumn as it is not to dark but is still bold.

MUA Intense Kisses High Intensity Gloss ~
I don't usually go for lip glosses, especially in autumn winter time when the wind is blowing becuase we all know what happens when the wind blows your hair in you face, which then gets stuck to your lip gloss, leaving you standing there trying to rid your face of your tangled, lip gloss filled hair! However, I have taken to this gloss as it is not sticky and it also glides on very nicely. I love the colour as it is so bold and vibrant. Not bad for drug store product! I Bought this in shade 'Stolen Kisses'  which I also love the name of.

Revlon Renewist ~
I bought this out of the pound shop a few months back as I didn't really have many dark lip colours at the time. I bought it in the shade 'Radiant Ruby ~ 180' along with 2 other similar shades. It goes on very easily and the colour is very bold, however the colour doesn't last very long which is slightly disappointing so I have to re- apply it throughout the day.

What is your favourite lip product/shade to wear in autumn?

October Favourites

Hello Everyone!
These are just a few of the things i've been loving this month!

W7 In The Buff Eye Colour Palette ~
My sister bought me this palette for my birthday in September and since then I haven't stopped using it, All of the colours in the palette are natural beige and browns with a little bit of shimmer. If you would like to see some swatches then my sister has done a full review over on her blog Laura's All Made Up

MUA Intense Kisses 'Stolen Kisses' ~
I have been loving this colour recently as I love the deep berry colours in the autumn. I don't usually go for lip glosses but this one isn't sticky and has a really bold colour and lasts throughout the day.

Rimmel Stay Matte Face Powder ~
I have been using this for months now, it is honestly the best powder i have ever bought and its cheap too, there's not a day that I don't find myself reaching for this as it sets my make-up really well.

Lady Gaga Perfume ~
This was also bought for me for my birthday. I have been wearing this none stop for the past month as you can probably see, i've used pretty much all of it.

NYC Nail Varnish 'Manhattan' ~
This is another fall favourite as it is a deep berry purple colour, I can't wear it at school though which is slightly annoying as we are only allowed to wear natural coloured nail varnish.

American Horror Story Season 1, 2 & 3~
This is a slightly random one but a few weeks ago one of my friends introduced me to American Horror Story, which at first I was a little sceptical about watching as it included the word 'horror' and as you should all probably know by now that I am a massive wimp and hate anything scary. However, I decided to give it ago and watch the first episode on Netflix and to my surprise I really enjoyed it. I then couldn't stop watching it and within a week I had watched all 3 seasons which consisted of 38 episodes altogether. It is rated 18 but it isn't really too scary, however I wouldn't recommend anyone under 15 to watch it.

What were your favourite things in October?
Let me know in the comments.

Review | Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser

Hello Everyone!
So a few weeks ago I received a free 50ml sample of the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish hot cloth cleanser along with a muslin cloth and I have to say  it is now one of my favourite cleansing products! I had never tried anything from Liz Earle before this but I am really happy that I discovered it!

I never really get this excited about cleansing products as I feel that they are all the same and never really do what they claim to, however I noticed a major difference in my skin after using this, as my skin looked and felt a lot healthier. It really gets deep into your pores and cleans out any dirt and oils. I did have an little outbreak of spots after using this due to how well it cleansed my skin, but after the spots cleared up my skin looked more radiant. It was that good that I even felt confident enough to have a few no make-up days!

My favourite thing about this product is how well it removes eye make-up. I have to admit that I would usually just use make-up wipes to remove my make-up as I  thought it was quicker however, it never removed my mascara or eye-liner as well as I would hope so I would end up with panda eyes that were sore from scrubbing them with a wipe, whereas this product is very gentle on the eyes. I was genuinely amazed when I saw how well it removed my eye make-up, and when I discovered that it doesn't sting if it goes near or in my eyes.

This product is a plant based cleanser, so has a very earthy scent, which im not too keen on. Some of the ingredients it contains are:

Beeswax, which has skin protecting properties that help relieve chapped skin,
Eucalyptus, which eases muscular aches and pains,
Glycerin, which helps to hydrate the skin,
Cocoa Butter, which moisturises the skin,
D-panthenol, which moisturises and helps stimulate cell renewal.

My 50ml sample lasted me around 2-3 weeks, but I have now ran out completely. To purchase a 50ml tube with a muslin cloth it costs £9.25 which I think is a very reasonable price for such a high quality product.

The muslin cloth is perfect for cleansing as it provides a gentle exfoliant which effortlessly wipes away dead skin cells and any unwanted impurities. To keep the cloth clean you should rinse it thoroughly after every use and leave it to dry naturally. After every few uses, wash it in a 30 degree white wash to keep it fresh and clean.

The first step is cleansing. Taking around 1-2 pumps of the cleanser on your hands, massage gently onto dry skin over the face and neck in circular motions to remove all  make-up and unwanted oils. Step two is polishing. run your muslin cloth under hot water and polish off the cream gently to dislodge dead skin cells, leaving your skin clean and radiant. Then a little trick i've been using on a morning to make my skin look more healthy and awake is to splash cold water over your face after step two. I find this trick really helps to wake you up and prepare you for the day.

Overall I was very happy with this and will definitely repurchase it!

Review | MUA Heaven And Earth Eye-shadow Palette

Hello everyone!
This is the first review i have written on my blog but hopefully, it won't be to bad so here it is...

Heaven and Earth eye shadow palette ~ £4
First off i'd like to say just how much i love this brand, their products are so cheap but such great quality and i would definitely recommend them to anyone on a tight budget or for people who are just getting into make-up. Almost every one of MUA's products are under £4. You can get lipsticks, lip gloss and eye shadow for just £1 as well which is great!

This was the first eye-shadow palette i bought from MUA and i was extremely pleased with it. I really liked that they were all neutral, earthy tones which really suit my skin tone, and that they had a slight shimmer. I also soon found out they they were great for creating a natural smoky eye look. The palette contains 12 beautiful shades, which is great if you're like me and your always changing you combinations. My favourite combination to use is 1,4,10 & 12 as i think they all compliment each other really well and create a great smokey eye. I also love the fact that the first shade can be used as a highlighter. The palette comes with a double ended sponge applicator brush which is okay, but i prefer not to use it.

Overall, I think that £4 is a bargain to say you get 12 absolutely gorgeous shades and a brush! I would definitely recommend this palette to everyone as you can create so many unique looks for daytime or evenings. All of the shades are super pigmented and so easy to apply and blend.

However, the only downside to MUA is that their products are only available at Superdrug or the MUA website which you can click the link here if you would like to go and have a nosey at some of their other products.

What's your favourite MUA product?

The Beauty Blogger Tag

I have been tagged by my sister Laura over at Laura's all made up to do the beauty blogger tag so here goes...

Why did you start blogging and how long have you been blogging for?
I started blogging a few months back on my previous blog, life's little things, but then i decided to start a new blog. I began this blog last month. The reason i started created a blog in the first place was because my sister Laura created her own blog a few years back and it just seemed like so much fun.

Whose blog did you fall in love with first?
The first blog i read was my sisters of course. I hadn't really heard of any other bloggers at that point but then i began watching YouTube and discovered Zoe's and Louise's blogs which i love!

What was the first blogosphere hyped about product that you bought? Was it worth the hype?
I haven't really bought any extremely hyped about products but i did venture into Lush for the first time ever before Christmas after reading and watching s many reviews on their products. And yes it was totally worth it even if i did get a headache after being in the shop too long!

What are your five favourite things about blogging and being a Beauty Blogger?
As i am fairly new to blogging i don't really have that much to say however these are a few things i've loved so far...
1) People are so friendly and lovely and it's so nice to be involved in such a great community,
2) i really love reading through other peoples beauty and fashion blogs to get inspiration or beauty tips,
3)you get to share your honest opinion on products you have bought and help people to decide whether they would like to buy the product,
4) I really love the design and photography aspect of blogging and can't wait to learn new ways to improve my photography and design skills.

What have you learnt from being a Beauty Blogger?
From being a beauty blogger (of sorts) i have been introduced to different styles, techniques and routines regarding make-up and beauty products and have learnt a lot about how important it is to find products that suit you and not just products that everyone is raving about.

Have you changed anything since becoming a Beauty Blogger?
Since starting a blog and reading blogs i have changed the sorts of make-up/ products i used and have changed the way i apply them. I have now also got a sort of skin/beauty regime which i would never even have thought remotely important before.

What advice would you give to a Beauty Blogger just starting out?
As i am a new blogger myself i would say be yourself and write about things you enjoy,
leave comments on or follow peoples blogs,
get a bloglovin' account, this is a great way to get noticed,
and finally make sure you get your blog design how you want it, make sure that it's a clear layout, easy to read and eye-catching!

What are your top 5 make-up brands?
1) Maybeline
2) Rimmel
3)MUA
4)L'Oreal
5)Benefit

Recommend your top 5 beauty products
1)Maybeline- colossal volume express mascara,
2)Rimmel- stay matte powder,
3)MUA- heaven and earth eye-shadow palette,
4)Maybeline- baby lips cherry me,
5)Rimmel- wake me up foundation.

And anyone else who would like to do this tag!
