Review | Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser

Hello Everyone!
So a few weeks ago I received a free 50ml sample of the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish hot cloth cleanser along with a muslin cloth and I have to say  it is now one of my favourite cleansing products! I had never tried anything from Liz Earle before this but I am really happy that I discovered it!

I never really get this excited about cleansing products as I feel that they are all the same and never really do what they claim to, however I noticed a major difference in my skin after using this, as my skin looked and felt a lot healthier. It really gets deep into your pores and cleans out any dirt and oils. I did have an little outbreak of spots after using this due to how well it cleansed my skin, but after the spots cleared up my skin looked more radiant. It was that good that I even felt confident enough to have a few no make-up days!

My favourite thing about this product is how well it removes eye make-up. I have to admit that I would usually just use make-up wipes to remove my make-up as I  thought it was quicker however, it never removed my mascara or eye-liner as well as I would hope so I would end up with panda eyes that were sore from scrubbing them with a wipe, whereas this product is very gentle on the eyes. I was genuinely amazed when I saw how well it removed my eye make-up, and when I discovered that it doesn't sting if it goes near or in my eyes.

This product is a plant based cleanser, so has a very earthy scent, which im not too keen on. Some of the ingredients it contains are:

Beeswax, which has skin protecting properties that help relieve chapped skin,
Eucalyptus, which eases muscular aches and pains,
Glycerin, which helps to hydrate the skin,
Cocoa Butter, which moisturises the skin,
D-panthenol, which moisturises and helps stimulate cell renewal.

My 50ml sample lasted me around 2-3 weeks, but I have now ran out completely. To purchase a 50ml tube with a muslin cloth it costs £9.25 which I think is a very reasonable price for such a high quality product.

The muslin cloth is perfect for cleansing as it provides a gentle exfoliant which effortlessly wipes away dead skin cells and any unwanted impurities. To keep the cloth clean you should rinse it thoroughly after every use and leave it to dry naturally. After every few uses, wash it in a 30 degree white wash to keep it fresh and clean.

The first step is cleansing. Taking around 1-2 pumps of the cleanser on your hands, massage gently onto dry skin over the face and neck in circular motions to remove all  make-up and unwanted oils. Step two is polishing. run your muslin cloth under hot water and polish off the cream gently to dislodge dead skin cells, leaving your skin clean and radiant. Then a little trick i've been using on a morning to make my skin look more healthy and awake is to splash cold water over your face after step two. I find this trick really helps to wake you up and prepare you for the day.

Overall I was very happy with this and will definitely repurchase it!
